Joymaker updates, Spring 2024: AI support, live chat, "What's New" webinar
Hey everyone!
With our first Joymaker update of 2024, I'm excited to share some big updates coming out of last month's company trip!
As I've shared in the past, these company trips often provide opportunities to collaborate on some of our more aspirational ideas. This time, we spent a lot of time focusing on two ways to provide faster support for our members -- AI support and Live chat support -- and planned a "What's New" webinar to highlight the latest TravelJoy updates.
For the first two features, keep an eye on the blue "Support" button at the bottom-right corner of your screen. When it changes to a chat button like the one below, that means we're actively testing AI support, and might also be testing live chat support!
AI support
With nearly 300 guides in our Help Center, it can sometimes be tough to find exactly what you're looking for. TJ, our new AI Joymaker, is designed to help with that journey.
When you see the blue chat button, click it to ask your question. TJ will attempt to provide an answer using a combination of knowledge from our Help Center and custom answers we've provided, like links to register for our webinars. At any time, you'll have the option to transfer your conversation to our human Joymakers.
TJ is part of the Joymaker team, which means:
- Being brand new, TJ's knowledge is still limited, and it will get smarter every week
- Natural, straightforward questions are your key to a high-quality answer
- If your request is transferred to any of us, we'll be able to see the whole conversation and pick up right where TJ left off
Live chat support
We've also recently launched a limited trial of live chat support!
When you're talking to TJ using that blue chat button, you can request a transfer at any time. When you do, you'll either receive a reply from a live Joymaker or an automated message confirming that we've opened a regular support request.
This transition will be a fun and exciting challenge for us, but a challenge nonetheless. Right now, live chat availability is very limited and will be expanding slowly to ensure that there are no negative impacts to either support experience.
If you run into any issues accessing live chat support, don't forget that you can always email us at hello@traveljoy.com!
"What's New" webinar
New and updated features are being released all the time, and it can be hard to keep up! While we're always updating our feature release guide, we want to make sure you have a chance to see all of the latest changes in action.
Coming up on Tuesday, June 4th at 4:00pm Eastern, we'll be holding a live one-hour webinar to share what has been added or updated so far this year, and to answer as many of your questions as we can.
You can register at this link, which guarantees your spot in the webinar as well as a recording of the session regardless of whether you're able to attend. I hope to see you there!

Official comment
Hi Ariel! The Chat button is only being tested during certain hours of the day, so you will not see it on 24/7! :)

Alan, Great idea, hope it will do well and help you improve customer service!
I can't see this feature, is it within the Support button? Is it still in a "pilot" mode for some users?
