Getting email delivered reliably into your client's inbox is a top priority for TravelJoy. We also want you to have control over how those messages appear and how they highlight your brand. To that end, we offer three solutions for sending messages to your clients through TravelJoy.
- messaging@traveljoy.com, our built-in default solution
- Connecting your custom domain email address
- Connecting your Gmail or G Suite email address
Using messaging@traveljoy.com
The default FROM email address in TravelJoy is “Your Name <messaging@traveljoy.com>”.
With this default, agents get a simple, reliable messaging system, and your clients can quickly identify who the message is from. We can tell you when a message is delivered, opened, or clicked on. We can also detect delivery problems and spam reports.
You do not need to take any action to set this up. It is configured by default for every TravelJoy account. Note that this option is not compatible with sending group messages.
If you would like to disconnect your own outgoing email address and change back to this method later, you can visit Settings -> Email, click the three dots beside the "Connected" button, and choose "Disconnect."
Connecting your custom domain email address
This is the best option for reliable, transparent email delivery using your business domain. Like our default option above, we can tell you when a message is delivered, opened, or clicked on. We can also detect delivery problems and spam reports.
This method requires a few DNS entries for your domain. If you don't know how to do this, no problem -- we will provide the instructions to your domain administrator. Learn more about how to connect your custom domain email address to TravelJoy.
Connecting your Gmail or G Suite email address
If you are using a Gmail address or have a G Suite account, the second option may be the simplest for you. If you don't have your own domain or a Gmail account and want to send from your own email address, we encourage you to sign up for a free Gmail account. Learn more about how to connect your Gmail or G Suite account email address to TravelJoy.
NOTE: While we do officially support connecting your Gmail or G Suite address, we recommend the custom domain method for enhanced deliverability and troubleshooting capability.
Why are you not supporting Outlook, Yahoo, AOL, etc.?
If you have a custom domain through one of these providers, you can use the custom domain method described above. However, if you have a more generic free or ISP-based email address, these services generally do not offer a Mail API. Without this option, we have a limited ability to make sure messages consistently reach your clients, so we are unable to support them at this time.
