There are several settings in your account that make it easier and more flexible for you to serve the needs of customers across the globe. This guide walks you through the settings and what the options mean.
Default currency
We suggest setting the default currency to that of the country where most of your clients are based (e.g., $CAD for Canada, $USD for the US).
You will be able to change the currency on specific invoices and charges, which is helpful if you might have client bases in more than 1 country.
The setting takes affect only on newly created invoices; any existing invoices or charges will NOT change based on this setting.
The default currency setting is being rolled out across the app. It currently applies to the following:
- Supplier invoices
- Supplier payments on Smart Proposals
- Supplier Group Booking Pages
Areas not listed above will have $USD as the default and only currency available.
You can change the default currency under the Invoice section of Settings.
Default date format
By default, dates on the TravelJoy appear in various formats, mostly adhering to US conventions (e.g., 1/31/2026, 01/31/26).
Choosing to “display month names in dates” will ensure the month spelled out in its entirety or abbreviated (e.g., Jan 1, 2026 or. January 1, 2026) in most places of the app.
The flexibility supports
- Advisors in countries with different date format conventions than in the US
- US advisors who have international clients or simply want dates to be unambiguous
The setting applies to all pages within the app, for yourself and clients to whom you send invoices and forms.
You can change the default date format under the Agency info section of Settings.
