Charging a convenience fee on a direct invoice
To get started,Ā create a direct invoice as you normally would. When editing the invoice, under the āSettingsā section, you'll see the option to pass the processing fee along to the client. Checking this box will do exactly that:
On the client's end, they'll see this listed directly on the invoice as a convenience fee near the amount due:
If you allow payments via both credit cards and bank transfers, the client will also see a relevant discount which reflects the lower processing fee of bank transfers:
Charging a convenience fee on a direct group booking page
You can automatically add a convenience fee to each invoice generated by a group booking page by visiting the "Pricing" tab when editing your page and navigating to the āPayment detailsā section:
The math behind the client convenience fee can sometimes be confusing, so we recommend understandingĀ how the client convenience fee is calculated before offering this feature.
Automatically add a convenience fee on all direct invoices moving forward
To have a convenience fee added to all direct invoices created within trips, visit Settings -> Invoice and select the checkbox "Charge client convenience fee by default":
Once selected, remember to click "Save" in the bottom right-hand corner!
