In order to track and make sure your clients are aware of upcoming payment due dates, you'll first need to create an invoice and set up the payment schedule on that invoice to reflect payment due dates.
The next step is to make sure you have payment reminders set up on your account. You can tell TravelJoy how far in advance to send you these notifications under Settings -> Automation in the left-side navigation menu (or click here).
If you keep the default reminder settings, seven days before the payment is due you'll receive a reminder email with a button to "View payment reminder"
Clicking the button will take you directly into your "Payment Due Soon" reminder email, where you can click send.
If you want to edit the email language, add an attachment, or change the email template altogether, you can do so on this page before sending.
We also offer two other ways to contact your client directly with a payment reminder:
Resend an invoice manually with a "Friendly Reminder" email template:
- Open the trip
- Click on the "Files" tab
- Locate the invoice, click the three dots at the top right corner, and click Resend
- Adjust your template language as necessary before sending the invoice
Create a new message using the "Invoice Payment Due Soon" email template:
- Open the trip
- Click on the "Messages" tab
- Place your cursor in the new message box
- The message box will expand.
- Click "Email Templates" then "Invoice Payment Due Soon Email"
- Modify the template as necessary, then send

How do we create an email template with the invoice automatically attached.
For example, I am trying to encourage clients to make monthly payments on their trip. Every month on the 1st I would like to send them a reminder email with easy access to the invoice so that the can make a payment.
Hi TTne Johnson, an Email Template will be automatically attached with the invoice when the automatic payment reminders are sent out to your clients using this feature in the guide! You can select which Email Template gets sent by changing the dropdown menu I highlighted below.
