Forms are used for any communication in which you’d like to ask questions and record answers from a client. You can create a custom form using TravelJoy’s form fields. You can also edit an existing default template if needed.
Create the form template and choose the form settings
Start by navigating to Templates → Forms and click the "+ Add form" button:
Once your new form template has opened, give your template a memorable, descriptive name, then update the advanced form options by selecting the "Show advanced form options" drop down:
From here, select settings such as what email template typically accompanies this form, as well as the text displayed on the buttons that prompt clients to open and submit the form.
You can also add terms and conditions, include a credit card authorization section, and enable reCAPTCHA, a security tool that verifies users are human to help protect your form from bots and automated abuse.
Adding fields to your form
| 💡 Did you know that you can import a form created outside of TravelJoy using the Magic importer tool? Learn how |
To add your first field, use your mouse to drag a field option from the right side menu into your form area and drop it where you'd like it to be added. You can always drag it to a new position later:
Edit a field by hovering over it and clicking the pencil icon as seen above.
Customizing your form fields further
Some field types offer more editing options. The pencil icon will reveal any customizable options available for that field, like a checkbox group seen below:
In this example, you can make the field required, add help text (visible when clients hover over the black question mark icon), choose a different display style (such as a toggle or adjust the checkbox layout), allow clients to enter a custom answer, and control which checkbox options are shown.
The final product will look something like this:
Add client profile fields
You can add fields to your form that will connect directly to your client's profile card by adding any field that starts with the word "Client":
These fields feature blue tags that indicate this question is linked to your clients profile card once it's filled out:
| 💡 As forms are designed to capture details for only one traveler at a time, the same client field cannot be added more than once to a form. To learn how to collect details for multiple travelers at once, check out this guide. |
Add a page break or conditional logic to your form
Form looking a bit long? Page breaks will allow you to break up your form to help make things flow seamlessly:
Conditional logic allows you to determine a form's action when your client completes a previous field in a certain way. To learn more about conditional logic, view our guide.
Deleting, hiding, or duplicating a field
You can find the ability to remove, hide, or duplicate a form field just by hovering over it:
Saving your form
Before navigating away from your form - be sure to save your changes! Locate the "Save" under the form Magic importer:

I keep trying to add a paragraph to one of my forms, and after I save, it won't show up in the preview or link. Are they limited by character count or how many paragraphs I can have in a form? The two others I have are visible, but this one (whether I copy and paste the content or type it in directly or even put it in a different spot in the form) WILL NOT SHOW UP!
