Forms in TravelJoy are collections of questions that your client can answer and submit back to you, helping you collect needed information in just a few clicks. There are several default forms in TravelJoy, and if you don't see the one you need, you can always or customize your own template from Templates › Forms.
How to send a form
Everything starts with a trip, so if you have not already - we recommend creating a trip. Within that trip, click the blue "Create..." button at the top right of the page and select "Form" from the options that appear:
On the next page, you'll see the option to select which of the trip's traveler will receive the form, the "Allow one recipient to submit forms for other travelers" checkbox (useful for a single point of contact filling in details for their whole party), which form template you'd like to send, and which confirmation email you'd like triggered after the client completes their form:
From here, you can click "Preview" at the top to see what the form will look like to your client, or you can select the "Next..." button to fill out the form on your client's behalf or review the email accompanying the form:
Once you've reviewed the email contents and are ready to send it off with your form, select the blue "Send" button at the bottom of the pop up:
The email your client receives will include an easy-to-follow link to review and submit their form.
Changing the email template attached to a form
The email your client receives with the form is set on the form template itself, so you don't have to select it each time you send the form.
To change it: go to Templates › Forms, click into the form template, and update the associated email in the template's settings. New sends of that form will use the updated email. If you're sending a specific one-off form and need a different accompanying email for just that instance, you can still choose a different email template or edit the existing template during the sending process, as shown above.
Reviewing submitted forms
When a client submits a form, it appears in the trip's message feed and (for many field types) the answers sync back to the client's profile. To confirm whether a specific form has been submitted, open the trip and look for the form entry in the message feed; you can also check the client's profile for synced fields.
Removing sensitive submitted data
If a form containing sensitive information was submitted and you need to remove it from the client-visible feed — for example, because the client shared the itinerary with others who shouldn't see it — the form entry can be deleted from the message feed.
Deleted forms are still retained in your records; the client-facing view no longer shows them. Contact support if you need help.

Can I send multiple forms at the same time?
i would like to put on my website, is there a video of how to create a link that has the banner instead of just the form?
Hi Vincent & Vivian S! To put a form on your website, you can embed the form by following the steps here: https://help.traveljoy.com/hc/en-us/articles/360016308691-Embed-a-client-inquiry-form-on-your-website
Hi TravelJoy team! Is there a timeframe after which a submitted form for a trip would create a new trip for that client? I have had a few clients submit trip feedback forms following their vacations and instead of attaching to the existing trip in my TravelJoy dashboard, it creates a new trip for that client.
Thank you!
Hi Next Exit Travels, great question! We may need to take a look at the type of form you're sending them, can you please send in a ticket request using the blue chat button in the bottom right corner of your TravelJoy account? I'd love to dive into this for you!
I have a form I created in Jotforms and would like to have it also linked to my travel joy when clients fill it out. Is that possible?
Hi Stacey,
Unfortunately, TravelJoy does not currently have the API capabilities for an integration with Jotforms. You can recreate your Form in TravelJoy by customizing an existing Form or creating a new template!
I'd like to be able to fill out the Client Inquiry form myself while I'm talking to a potential client on the phone. How can I do this?
