While form templates are plain text and cannot be formatted in this way, we often find that members reaching out with this question are actually trying to add their terms and conditions to the form template using individual fields, such as Paragraphs or Text Areas.
The good news is that your terms and conditions can be formatted to contain paragraph breaks, bold and italic styling, hyperlinks, and more.
This is because terms and conditions are not added directly to the form template as individual fields. Instead, they are built separately, under Templates > Terms & Conditions, and then added to the form template via the template's settings.
Create a terms and conditions template
If you have added individual fields to your form template to accommodate your terms and conditions, you can click the red X at the top-right of each field to remove it.
Next, check out this guide and video to create your terms and conditions template.
Add the terms to your form template
Once you've created your terms and conditions template, head back to your form template and check the "Add terms & conditions" box in the settings, then choose the template you created in the last step.
What if I need formatting for something else?
Since our form templates cannot accommodate formatting, we recommend repurposing the Terms & Conditions Template feature for any links or styling you may wish to add to the bottom of a particular form template.
