Templates which can be restored
This guide applies to the following template types:
- Form
- Invoice Item
How to restore default settings
If you've edited a built-in template and want to revert back to the original content, you can do so by opening the template and clicking the "Restore Default" button, then clicking Save.
For email and form templates, you can find this button at the top-right corner of the page:
For invoice item templates, you can find it at the bottom-left corner of the page:
Best Practice: Instead of editing a default template, create a duplicate
When you want to customize a built-in template, it may be better to create a duplicate instead. With this strategy, you will have your new custom template, and the original template remains intact for future reference.
When viewing any list of templates (such as forms or emails), click the button with two sheets of paper beside the template you'd like to duplicate. Change the name and settings of the new template and then click Save when finished.
