TravelJoy refunds only through the original payment method, even if the account has been shut down. This is a common occurrence in the payment processing industry, and the credit card companies and banks are equipped to handle it. In the vast majority of cases where the client's account is no longer active, the credit card company or bank will forward the refund to the client in one of two ways:
- Mailing a paper check to the client's home address
- If one exists, directing the refund to the client's new account
In very rare cases, the bank may "bounce back" the refund instead. When this happens, we reach out to let the agent know about it right away. In cases where the refund is bounced back, we would be unable to process the refund.
