TravelJoy’s Zapier integration lets you connect your account to thousands of tools, like Flodesk, Mailchimp, Google Sheets, QuickBooks, Trello, and more. Access to our Zapier integration is included in the TravelJoy Premium plan, or available for purchase as a standalone add-on.
Creating a Zapier account
If you do not have one, you can create a Zapier account by visiting https://zapier.com.
Creating a new Zap
- Click Create->Zaps
- Click to select an event and search for TravelJoy.
- Choose the event you want to trigger automations (some common triggers include: New client, New trip, and client updated)
- Connect your TravelJoy account when prompted. This opens a small authorization window where you log in to TravelJoy and approve Zapier access. (If you are unable to connect, this is likely because you have not purchased either the Premium membership or Zapier add-on)
Choosing an action and map fields
- Pick the Action app (where data goes). Some common examples are: Google Sheets, Slack, Asana, and Trello
- Choose the specific action (e.g., “Create Spreadsheet Row”, “Create Task”, “Create Detailed Event”).
- Map fields from the TravelJoy trigger to the destination app fields. (Some common mappings are: TravelJoy Client → Contact name, email, phone, Trip name → Event or Row title)
Testing the Zap and turning it on
- Run a test to ensure the destination app receives the data exactly as expected. (The green check indicates the test was successful, the circled ‘!’ indicates something needs to be fixed.)
- Review the destination (open the Google Sheet row, check Mailchimp subscriber list, etc.).
- If everything looks good, publish the zap!

How do I add Zapier? To add the Zapier integration to your account you can visit Settings->Membership to purchase a premium membership or Zapier add-on!
Does TravelJoy support actions? Not yet, but this is coming soon!
What if I don’t see a trigger I need? You can email our support team at hello@traveljoy.com to request a new trigger.
Do I need to pay for Zapier? Most advisors find that the free version of Zapier (which includes 100 free zaps) works well for their needs. If you think you will need more than 100 Zaps per month, you will need to purchase a paid Zapier account.
