It is important to know that automated business emails generally come in two flavors: transactional (related to an ongoing transaction, such as a trip) and marketing (which covers all other messages). Automated business emails sent to clients for birthdays or anniversaries are considered marketing messages.
TravelJoy's email automation tools are not designed for marketing, which would require features such as asking the client to opt into these messages and providing a method for clients to unsubscribe.
One workaround is to manually send each client a message via their profile, as seen here.
Another, more automated workaround from our members is to regularly export your client list in TravelJoy (you can see how to do that by clicking here) and import it into a third-party app such as MailChimp. This can be done regularly, as most email marketing apps automatically ignore duplicate records.
From there, you can use this third-party app to send marketing messages to clients, including automated messages on their birthdays or anniversaries.
