You can now send email marketing messages to your clients directly from TravelJoy. With TravelJoy Email Campaigns, you can create, schedule, and send emails without needing a separate platform, making it easy to communicate with your clients in one place.
This feature allows you to share updates, promotions, and important information efficiently while keeping your workflow simple and centralized. In this guide, we’ll walk through how to use Email Campaigns and answer frequently asked questions.
Enabling email campaigns on your account
To get started, click on "campaigns" on the left-hand toolbar.
You will be prompted to complete a few onboarding steps, including:
- Personal details
- DNS Settings
- Unsubscribe list upload (if applicable)

Setting up a campaign
First, navigate to the settings bar on the left side of your screen and select "Campaigns" from the list.Â
You will see a record of all your previous campaigns, and in the top-right corner, you will have the option to create a new campaign.
When creating a new campaign, you will first want to give it a name, a subject line for the email, and decide who to send it to (all lead travelers or clients a part of a specific tag).

Now it’s time to add the content.Â
Let’s dive into the three main sections:
Content: This is where you can add different columns, buttons, headings, images and other items.
Blocks: Custom blocks are flexible components that allow you to add images and colors throughout your message.

Once the block has been added, adjust and add to the component as needed.
Body: This is where you can add the most customization. Update fonts, background colors, alignment, and more.
Once you are happy with how your message looks, you can choose to save it as a draft, send a test message to yourself, or send the campaign right away in the top right corner.
Actions available with existing campaigns
Once a campaign has been sent or saved, you can always come back and edit, send, delete, or duplicate it. To edit it, simply click on the campaign name. To duplicate, send, or delete it, click the action button on the right side of the screen.
Reporting
After a campaign has been sent you can keep track of the number of messages sent, delivered, opened, and keep track of any bounces for the campaign.
Clicking on one of the blue numbers will open a popup that will allow you dive in to each of these figures more.
You can even click into the campaign itself to look at the reporting, view the message that was sent, and duplicate the campaign.
FAQ
How many campaigns can I send? Pro users can send up to 12 campaigns per year to up to 300 recipients each. (You can upgrade to unlimited campaigns at any time by visiting Settings->Membership and choosing the email campaigns add-on or upgrading to TravelJoy Premium.
Can we import our existing mailing lists? You can upload them as clients in your TravelJoy account! Your email marketing send lists in TJ will all be based on your Contacts in TJ.
Can you pull in an HTML template from Canva? There is an option to paste HTML sections into the template (but you're still operating within the confines of the template — you can't just upload HTML files directly). You can also export images from Canva and upload those as well.
Can we create templates for newsletters? To start, it will be the drag-and-drop builder you saw there. So, no pre-built templates, but you can upload any images you might export from other sources, such as Canva!
Can I save a template to use later? While you can't explicitly save a template, you can easily duplicate any campaign to use again.
Can I use emails with free domains like Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail? A custom domain is required in order to utilize this feature.Â
Can I schedule a campaign? While the ability to schedule a campaign is not available with the pro plan, you can upgrade to premium or purchase the add-on to enable this ability.
