There are many ways duplicate clients can happen, from multiple import sources to a client using multiple email addresses to respond to you. Fortunately, we've made it a breeze to join these accounts together.
Head over to your Clients page by clicking the Contacts tab on the left side navigation menu. From there, click the three dots at the top right corner beside the Add Client button and select to option to Merge client profiles:
Next, select the client profile you want to keep -- this should be the one with the most updated information -- and the duplicate profile you'd like to merge into it.
If you're not sure which client profile to keep, choose the one with the most up-to-date email address (or, if only one profile has an email address, choose that one).:
Finally, click the blue button to approve the merge, and repeat as necessary to eliminate all of your duplicate profiles.

I got an "Opps, something went wrong, unable to merge clients" message.
Hi Thomas and Catherine!
My first suggestion here would be to switch the client to keep and the client to merge and try again. You'll see a preview of the combined profile before accepting the change.
If you still get the error when trying that option, please submit a support request with the client's name and a screenshot of the error, via the blue Support button, and we'll take a closer look!Â
OMG this is a life saver.
I didn't even know merging existed. Â Is there a way for an existing client to sign into a group with their existing profile?
