Classic proposals allow you to include itineraries from external sources, whether as uploaded files, embedded pages, or copied and pasted content from suppliers. While classic proposal options remain available to our members, we recommend smart proposals for an upgraded proposal/itinerary experience. After selecting your attachment method, you can add more details and finalize by clicking "Next: Review Email" and then "Send."
Sending a classic proposal
To create a classic proposal, visit a trip page and click the blue Create button at the top-right corner, then click Proposal:
From there, you can choose one of TravelJoy's three options for attaching an itinerary. To read more about each option, check out each section below:
Once you've completed the top section and attached your itinerary via your chosen method, you may wish to add more details to accompany the proposal. To do so, click the "More Proposal Details" link and add as much information as  you'd like:
To finish sending your proposal, click Next: Review Email at the top right corner. Next, hit Send and just like that your customized proposal will be in your client’s inbox. Â
Choosing an itinerary type
Web Link for itineraries on external pages
To use this method, create an itinerary with your preferred third party tool as usual, copy the link to that itinerary, and choose "Web Link" from the listed options. From there, paste the link into the space provided:
New Document for copied and pasted itineraries
To use this method, choose "New Document" from the listed options. From there, copy and paste from your favorite supplier or aggregator, or type up your itinerary manually in the space provided:
File Upload for uploading itineraries from your device
To use this method, create a proposal as usual and choose "File Upload" from the listed options. From there, drag and drop your file(s) onto the file upload area, or click within that box to choose your file(s) manually:
As noted, the acceptable file types are PDF, DOC, JPG, and PNG.
Multiple proposal options (File Upload only)
Sometimes, there will be a few solid options for a client, and it can be helpful to send them all at once so that the client can compare and choose the best option for them. TravelJoy allows you to do this quickly and easily with our File Upload Proposal tool.Â
To get started, create a proposal as you usually would, and when it's time to upload your PDF or other document containing proposal information, drag and drop multiple proposals into the upload area:
Next, check the box above the file uploads to require the client to choose one proposal:
Finally, send the proposal! Here's what your client sees when they open the proposals:
And when they are ready to respond:

Once the client responds, you can quickly and easily see which version was approved in your Messages tab. In this case, the client chose Itinerary B:
From there, it's just a matter of creating the invoice, and your client will be on their way!

Possibly because I am in a trial period, the option to create a proposal isn't available (I think) because I don't see the options.
Hi Elizabeth! TravelJoy enables all features on trials so that each user can fully experience our platform. I do see that your ability to send proposals is enabled, as seen in the screenshot below:

Iḿ experiencing the confusion. I cant figure out how to create a trip in order to send a proposal. Â

Hi Missy! To create a trip, you'll click the pink "Create" button at the top-left corner of your dashboard and choose "Trip." You may also wish to search our Help Center for "Create a trip" to see this in more detail!
