We've created an easy way to determine what will and will not be visible to your clients on their invoices. When editing an invoice item, the "eye" icon will give you an understanding of what is visible to your clients and what is hidden from their view:
The client will see a few sections on any given invoice:Â
- List of travelers for the invoice (if enabled)
- Line items (the services the client is paying for)
- Amount to authorize (except for direct invoices)
- Payment schedule
The client will never see the below information on invoices:
- Supplier information
- Commission information
The line items area will have the most detail, and each line item's details will depend on the item type (hotel, air, insurance, etc.). For example, the below image shows a completed Hotel item type:
As you'll see, each detail except "Type" has an open eye to the left of the text field. This indicates the client will be able to see this detail on the invoice:
The "Type" field is for internal use, and therefore has an eye icon with a slash through it, indicating the client will not see it:
You will see more of this icon on the Commission tab:
Since nothing on the commission tab shows an eye icon without the slash, nothing in this section will be visible to the client.
Here is the end result of the hotel item entry, from the client's view:
You can see exactly what the client will see at any time by clicking "Preview" at the top of an invoice:
