When reviewing the "Details" tab under the Commissions & Sales Report, things can look a little bare if you haven't set booking dates on your various invoice items. This is because the report sorts by booking date by default. If you haven't set this up with your trips so far, don't worry! Adding a booking date is quick and easy.
đź’ˇ Note: You can also sort this report by trip start date, as well as commission expected or received dates, though these dates aren't always immediately available. This makes the booking date uniquely important. |
To get started, create a new invoice for your trip. If you've already created one, you can locate it within the trip files tab.
Once a line item is created, locate the blue pencil icon for the item to open the editing screen:
Once the editing screen is open, locate the “Commision” tab. From here, you can select and enter the booking date:
Once your booking date is updated, click “Save”.
When you’ve returned to the invoice builder, finish out the process by locating the “Next…” button in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Once clicked, select “Save” from the option that appears:

Is there a way to automate adding the booking date when creating the invoice?Â

At this time, the TravelJoy platform does not automate the booking date entry as this date can vary from the date of the invoice creation. If you would like to document this as a feature request, please feel free to share this with hello@traveljoy.com! :)
