Instead of setting a static due date, many tasks can benefit from a relative due date. This is a due date that is set relative to the trip's start date or end date, and if the trip's start or end date changes, the task due date will dynamically change as well.
This can also be valuable when creating a task list template since the tasks in the template will adjust to any trip to which they are imported.
To set a relative due date for a task, click the task and check the box labeled Relative Due Date:
From there, choose three settings for the task's due date:
- Number of days
- Before/After
- Trip Start Date/Trip End Date
In the example below, the Welcome Home Email task is due two days after the trip's end date:
This is also an excellent to add an action to your task. Be sure to save the task when finished!

One more for the suggestion box. It would be helpful to be able to set a relative due date X number of days after a specific date.
My clients put their deposit down 7/23/24. They have 10 days to purchase travel insurance to be covered for pre-existing conditions. So I'd want to set the reminder for 8 or 9 days after 7/23/24 so I can follow up for them. Right now, it only references the trip date.
As it is, I have to go to my calendar and count 10 days, then back it up a day, then choose that specific date for the reminder. A lot of room for error for something that's of vital importance.
