Overview
Let's say you want to collect and store your client’s favorite movie preference. When a client fills out the form, do you want that data to save in their client profile without you having to type it in? No problem!
To get started, you’ll need to add a custom field(s) to your client profiles (directions here).
Once added, there are two ways to add your custom field to a form template:
Option 1: Add the field manually
Option 2: Add multiple fields at once
Option 1: Add the field manually
By creating an identical field within your form to the one created in your custom client profile fields, you can easily link a field to your client’s profile:
- Add the same field type with the same "label" to your form template (editing forms directions here)
- Once your field is complete, click the “Save” button on the bottom right-hand side of the screen
- Refresh the page. A blue client profile banner should display next to your field if it has connected properly with your custom client profile field:
Option 2: Add multiple fields at once
If you have created multiple custom client profile fields, you can easily add all of these to a form template by locating and selecting the “Client Additional Info” tab on the right-hand side of the form builder:
This will automatically add any fields created within the “Custom” tab of your client profile fields to your form.
Remember to click “Save” once you’ve added these fields successfully!
